Great man,

He is Nikola Tesla,

He was a Serbian-American inventor.
A mechanical and Electrical Engineer.

Honestly, I don't know him.
Do you?

Do you know Thomas Edison?
Edison is so famous because of his
ground breaking inventions like the light bulb
and the DC or Direct Current in producing
electricity. You know him for sure.

How is Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison connected to each other?

1884, Edison hired Tesla to work for his company, Edison Machine Works. Tesla's work for Edison began with simple electrical engineering and quickly progressed to solving some of the company's most difficult problems.

Tesla was offered to redesign Edison's Direct Current Generators. He was offered $50,000 (nowadays, it is equivalent to $1.1 million) if he redesigned Edison's inefficient motor and generators, making an improvement in both service and economy.

1885 when Tesla inquired about the payment for his work, Edison replied, "Tesla, you don't understand our American Humor", thus breaking his word.

Tesla Immediately resigned and build up his own company. Right then, He invented Alternating Current (AC). The battle between Tesla's AC and Edison's DC began. It was called "War of Currents."

Edison's currents need long thick cables, and needed a large powerplant every square miles. Tesla's AC provided more voltage, using thinner wires, and can easily be transmitted over long distance.

Now,AC is what all homes use today. Tesla won.

What make Tesla even more Awesome?

He has a photographic memory like Jose P. Rizal. His photographic memory enabled him to visualize complex devices in his head and then build them without ever writing anything down. He spoke eight languages, including English, French, Serbian, Italian, Latin, German, Hungarian, and Czech. He could memorize entire books and memorize them at will.

When he was bored, he did things like creating 130 foot long bolts of lightning in his front yard. He still holds the world record for the longest bolt of manmade lightning.

The first hydro eletric plant was built by Tesla at Niagra Falls.

Earthquakes was a natural occurring event unless you we're a roommate with Tesla. While living in NYC, he discovered the resonant frequency of the earth, something that scientists weren't able to confirm until 60 years later. Using this, Tesla created an "earthquake machine". When he turned it on, the machine nearly destroyed his apartment and the surrounding block had he not smashed it with a sledgehammer.

He also designed a "death ray", which could supposedly destroy thousands of airplanes from hundreds miles away. And quote from the book, "He possessed an evil bone in his body, and could've probably found a way to screw up the earth's rotation and send us all spiraling into the sun like squealing little sausages.

Free energy for the entire planet was one of Tesla's final offerings to the world. He built a device that could transmit eletricity wirelessly for 26 miles. He received funding from J.P. Morgan, and built the Wardencylffe Tower. This tower would provide free energy and communication for the entire world. When Morgan discovered Tesla's plan to provide free energy, he shut the project down believing there was no financial gain to the idea.

The modern electric motor, the radio, robotics, Neon, X-Rays, Basic radar and laser technology, wireless communications, and some other well devised inventions, are all invented by Tesla.

I am not saying that Edison doesn't deserve the respect and recognition that He received. I would just like to say that Tesla deserves the same recognition that Edison received.

Tesla is amazing!, I idolize him now. :)

7 deadly sins : Acedia

Acedia is the neglect to take care of something that one should do. It is translated to apathetic listlessness; depression without joy.  - Wikipedia

Who thought this is a sin?
Acedia comprises depression and despair.
This may lead a person to commit suicide, that's why it was
considered one of the deadly sin.

Who does not experience depression?
It is seldom caused by something, and more often caused by someone.
Sometimes it might be your fault why you've become depressed,
but a lot of times it's someone's fault.
Those people that doesn't care about how you feel,
Those that will do everything just to get what they want,
and after they've got it, they will leave you without even thinking what
might happen to you.
Those who lie, who let you hope for something that was not true.
And when they have your trust, they will leave you hanging and take away
all your hopes.

putting you on the state of despair.

So i must say, making someone depress must be considered a deadly sin as well.

On the other hand, Someone must be strong enough to endure the lies of reality.
to avoid this sin. If you already committed this sin, why must you hurt yourself physically?
a sin would not be corrected by another sin.  it's a stupid act.

It's only a matter of accepting and moving on. Learn from your mistakes. Choose carefully whom
you will trust. never put your guard down. Always leave something for yourself.

everything that causes depression
also causes someone to be stronger and more careful

also, just always think you are not alone.

7 deadly sins : Pride

PRIDE

-"considered the original and most serious of the seven
deadly sins, and the source of the others. It is identified
as a desire to be more important or attractive than others,
failing to acknowledge the good work of others, and excessive
love of self (especially holding self out of proper position toward God)."

from wikipedia.

excessive love of self, in short, being
selfish. It's because you never care what
others would feel. you only care for
your own.  Believing that you are right and they
are wrong. You would only see their faults. thinking
that you are the only one whose hurt. that you are
the victim and they are the suspects.

these sin is very common,
at work, school, anywhere.

I know for myself that it is, indeed a sin.
but i use this sin as a defense mechanism.
especially when I'm hurt. It's for me to avoid
someone to hurt me some more.

If you got no pride, you'll be eaten by their pride.
that's why you'll be force to increase your pride
higher than theirs. I consider it a "compulsory sin"
in order to survive a world full of pride.

can you imagine, what if pride doesn't exist?
i think the world would be a much much better place
to live.

7 deadly sins : Greed

When I was 17, I admit, i was consumed by this deadly sin.
It happened on my 2nd year in college, to cut the story short, I joined a company wherein you need to recruit people to gain money. No resume, No Interview, No Experience needed, you only need Php 7,300.00 to get in.

Upon recruiting a person, you must not give them an idea that they need money to join, you must say it's a job, like my friend say, "encoder". that was the first lie you would do.
Php 7,300.00 is a big money, it's not that easy to get, If you want to get it fast, you must do something bad, steal or rather lie to your parents. When the person you are trying to recruit wants to join but doesn't have the money, of course you will be pushing him to get the money fast, if needed, you will help him lie. that was the second.
That is for only one person, If you want to get a lot of money, You must recruit a lot of people and do this thing. And there goes a wave of lies.

"Money is the root of all evil."
A famous quotation from Louisa May Alcott, a famous american author.
I really agreed with this quote during those time.
and there is this one essay that says,
"If money did not exist, this earth would have definitely been a better place. Money, the root of all evil, has shaped our world into a corrupt nation, a people without a conscience, and a society of very scrutinizing and  greedy human beings. Our nation, as corrupt as it may seem, has not always been this way. In the early ages, amassing the most money was not always the main goal. Happiness and a beautiful family were top priority."

That was very convincing. But then, One of my professor showed me the B-side.

He asked the whole class, "do you believe that money is the root of all evil?"
The whole class answered "yes", including me.
My professor just smiled and say,

"Money is just a paper, the root of all evil was the hunger for money."

I find it correct. why we must blame the money.
some may disagree, some may agree.

but for me, I'll just lie in the fact that, we've been placed on top of all living and non-living things.
We're the one who controls. If anything went wrong, it's our fault. we must not be controlled by anything lower than us.

P.S , sorry for the poor grammar. I was really not in shape today. xP

Test of Reality

I was browsing random mangas. Then i saw HunterXHunter, I really love this manga. remembering my childhood as well. And as i go to the last page of chapter 3, i was moved by these scene.

Gon, Kurapika and leorio passed by a place that looks like a ghost town. They we're not aware that the hunter exam has started and this was the first test. The old lady which is one of the examiner asked them this question, "your son and your daughter have been kidnapped and you can only save one, which one do you choose? son or daughter?" The three remained silent. And the old lady revealed that they passed the test. silence was the key. This scene tells the fact that "if you don't know the answer, it's better to keep your mouth shut."
After that, gon realized something, what if that day comes when he needs to choose. what would he do.
" reality doesn't have place for feelings."when the time comes that you need to choose, there would still be hurt no matter whom you pick.
We need to let go of the other, and move on with what is left.

Heart or Mind?

it's been months since we broke up.
i don't love her anymore, i can't even recognize her as she changed a lot.
she's not the one that I've loved before.

Now I'm hungry for love. Since then, I've realized that love is essential.
but then, LOVE always comes with SUFFERINGS. You will not get
a thing that you want completely or easily. there would always be something missing, there is always something that would block your way.

A lot of people tell me their story. their suffering. i love it though, that they trust me. that they let me see their weakest side. I've heard a lot of story about loving someone that is already committed to someone else.
I cannot blame them. You cannot choose the one that you will love. It's out of our control. That's when heart rules the mind. Someone asked me, which should i follow? heart or mind? If you choose to follow your mind, it means your giving up, you'll choose the easy way, you'll going to prioritize others and try to find something better that no one would be against, no complications. If you follow your heart, it means you'll choose the hard way, you would not care what will people may think or say about you, time wherein you become stupid, selfish and deaf. Of course a lot of people would choose to follow the mind, including me. But it's not that easy, no matter how much you want to follow your mind, in the end, Your heart will still reign.

There are sayings that "When God was creating Man, He placed the brain higher than the heart" which would mean that mind should always be the one to be followed. In Science, The brain controls the heart, decodes the messages received by our senses. But for a person who loves, heart confuses the brain and make our senses numb.

As a conclusion, I've combined 2 facts,
1. The brain was placed higher than the heart in a Man's body.
2. When a man died, the heart would be the last to stop functioning among all body organs. ,

therefore, The mind must be followed But the heart will reign at the end.
